Christopher Small - Attorney

Chris believes any good defense is founded on three principles: experience; aggression; and dedication. Good deals don't often come easy, and Chris has learned that the only way to get what the client deserves is to outwork the prosecutor, show them where there weaknesses lie, and then take advantage of those weaknesses when necessary. His motto is "the police report is as bad as it gets," because it's true.

He opened this law firm after moving to Seattle in 2009. Before that he practiced criminal defense, DUI defense, and eminent domain law for years in Kansas. While a DUI attorney and criminal attorney Chris has helped many many people escape the harsh penalties associated with DUIs and other crimes. Now through CMS Law firm he looks forward to helping people beat their DUI, criminal, and traffic charges on a daily basis.

Chris earned his undergraduate and law degrees at the University of Kansas. In addition to a Juris Doctor, Chris has a degree in Psychology and a concentration in Political Science. While in law school, Chris worked for the Wyandotte County Prosecutor's Office, learning the strategies and motivations of those he would one day work against. He utilizes this knowledge every day to fight for his clients.

Chris is a member of the Washington State Bar Association, King County Bar Association, Kansas Bar Association, Missouri Bar Association, and Washington Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. He keeps his mind sharp by regularly attending continuing legal education seminars focused on criminal defense and DUI defense. He is certified in Field Sobriety Testing, the same qualifications cops have out on the road.
