Silence Isn’t the Answer… | Rich Life Letter #042
I cried this weekend.
Big ole crocodile tears.
Not because of something that was said, but because of something that WASN’T said.
I was in Kansas this past weekend spending time with some of my oldest friends.
Every year we get together to catch up, to get advice, to give advice, and to enjoy each other’s company.
But this year was different.
During our time together one of my friends revealed to us that for YEARS he’s been going through a very difficult thing.
Alone.
Something most of us have experience with.
I don’t know if he was ashamed, or didn’t think we’d care, or what.
But he didn’t tell us.
And it broke my heart.
I wanted to share this with you to encourage you to share your life with your people.
Good or bad.
Embarrassing or heartwarming.
They want to hear about it.
They want to help.
They want to support you.
And it’s a great feeling to have people on your side.
I know he walked away from this weekend feeling better than he had in years.
I wanted to share that with you to encourage you to do the same.
Cheers,
Christopher Small
