Warren Buffett on Estate Planning | Rich Life Letter #037

I’ve decided to do something a little different with this blog I’m sending out.

I want to provide you quality information quickly, but I don’t want it to always just come from me.

There are things happening in the news and people out there with great ideas and experience with estate planning and I want you to be exposed to them.

So we start that this week.

If you want estate planning strategies and tips and ideas, the best thing to do is subscribe to my YouTube Channel and, if you listen to podcasts, my podcast.

I put out episodes almost daily on what we’re working on here at the firm (in 1 to 5 minute digestible bites).

The YouTube Channel is here – https://www.youtube.com/c/CMSLawFirmLLC

The podcast is here – https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/estate-planning-strategies/id1455795473

Quick side note – I was looking for these links and I googled estate planning podcasts and I came across this article that listed MINE as #1!!!! Isn’t that cool? :)

Today I wanted to give you a little estate planning advice and insight from Warren Buffett and Charlie Munger.

At their annual shareholder meeting this year they were asked about estate planning in the context of teaching and sharing with your family.

Here’s what they had to say (note – it’s pretty darn good advice in my opinion):

At the end of the day, communication is key.

You can’t parent from your trust or will – that’s got to be done while you’re still around.

Cheers,
