This client was an older woman, who was widowed, with five adult children.
She wanted to provide for her children and make sure that her Halachic Final Disposition wishes would be met.
We created a Trust plan for her that contained a:
- Trust;
- Pour Over Will;
- Financial Power of Attorney;
- Healthcare Power of Attorney;
- Living Will; and
- Deeds.
The Trust allows the client to accomplish her goals in providing for her children. It also designates people to serve as Trustees of the Trust.
The Pour Over Will provides security in case any assets are missed being transferred into the trust. It allows the Personal Representative settling the estate to “pour” any assets outside of the Trust into the Trust.
The Power of Attorney documents provide for the client if she is ever in a situation in which she cannot make financial or medical decisions for herself.
We prepared the Living Will for end of life decisions and to take the mystery out of what the client would want to happen to her if she is ever in a permanent vegetative state.
This client also filled out a specific Halachic form.
The Deeds we prepared conveyed the woman’s properties into the Trust, so that in the event of her death, the properties can be passed on to her children through the Trust or be sold by the Trustee.
