These clients were a brother and sister in their twenties that wanted to create a plan so that their separate estates would pass to each other or their mother in the event of their passing. They were planning on traveling out of the country, and wanted to have documents in place.
We created a Will Plan for each of them. Each plan included a:
- Financial Power of Attorney;
- Healthcare Power of Attorney; and
- Advance Healthcare Directive.
The Wills directed where the clients’ assets would go, and someone to act as Personal Representative of their Estates to manage the distributions.
The Power of Attorney documents provide for the clients in the event of their incapacity.
The Healthcare Directive includes end of life decisions and provides for what the clients would want to happen to them if they ever enter into a permanent vegetative state.
