These clients were a married couple with adult children. They also owned a business.
Their goals were to provide for their children, and to avoid probate.
We created a will plan for each of them, which included a:
- Will;
- Power of Attorney for Assets;
- Power of Attorney for Health Care;
- Advance Health Care Directive; and
- Disposition Instructions.
The Wills designate where the clients’ assets will go, and nominate personal representatives to oversee distribution of their estate.
The Powers of Attorney for Assets appoint people to act to mange the clients’ assets if they are ever unable to do so themselves.
The Powers of Attorney for Health Care designate people to manage the clients’ health care if they are unable to do so.
The Advance Health Care Directives include what types of health care the clients would like if they are ever incapacitated or in a terminal condition.
The Disposition Instructions state what the clients would like to happen to their remains after they are gone.
