This is another one of those estate plans that checks all of the boxes for the clients.
It named short-term guardians in the event something happened to the parents.
It named long-term guardians.
It created a family trust to ensure the kids are taken care of financially and have the greatest opportunity for success in the future.
And it ensured the protection of the family in the event of long-term illness or injury.
I loved working with these clients because they were super fun. They thought they were getting started a little late because their kid was already 11 years old, but I’ll tell you like I told them – it’s only too late if you wait until something happens.
Last but not least, I loved walking out of the office with them when we were finished and seeing the relief and pride on their faces knowing they’d done what they needed to do to take care of their family.
