Estate Planning Client Profile #65 | Married Couple | Not U.S. Citizens | Assets in Washington State
These clients were a married couple who were not U.S. citizens, but owned property and an LLC in Washington state. Their goal was to ensure their property went where they wanted it to go.
We created a trust plan for them, which included a:
- Trust; and
- Assignment of LLC Interest.
The Trust directs their interest in the LLC to go to the person they want it to go to.
The Assignment of LLC Interest transfers their ownership interest in the LLC to go into the trust.
Because the clients’ property was already owned by the LLC, we did not need to complete any additional deeds or other documents related to property transfer.
