If you couldn’t tell by the headline, this week, Monday through Wednesday, I’ll be off hanging out at Camp Seymour with my son and the rest of his fifth grade class (side note, this is part of the story but also a subtle FYI that I won’t be around M-W).

We’ll be fishing, doing archery, swimming at the pool, in the reptile room, and doing all sorts of other outdoor camp activities.

It should be fun.

And it got me thinking, because I’m an estate planning attorney and think about weird stuff like this, that it’s these experiences, these adventures, these times spent together, that are the most important things in life.

Money is nice, but people can make their own money (even your kids – trust me!).

What is hard to recreate, maybe even impossible, is time spent with them.

The point, in what is going to be a much shorter newsletter than I originally thought?

Just a reminder to spend time with the people you love.

Make sure everything is in place to take care of them if you’re gone, but don’t forget it’s what you do while you’re here that has the biggest impact.
