Estate Planning Client Profile #44 | Unmarried Couple | One Adult Child and One Estranged Child
These clients were an unmarried couple, with one adult child and estranged child. They wanted to provide for each other in the event of the other’s death.
We provided a Will plan for each them. The will plans included a:
- Will;
- Financial Power of Attorney;
- Healthcare Power of Attorney;
- Healthcare Directive; and
- Disposition Instructions.
The Power of Attorney documents provided the couple with designations for individuals to take care of them while they are incapacitated.
We prepared the health care directive for end of life decisions and taking the mystery out of what the couple would want to happen to them if they were in a permanent vegetative state.
