A tragic reminder…

estate planning attorney newsletter
Welcome to another Rich Life Letter, the weekly newsletter of CMS Law Firm LLC (written by Christopher Small, the founder of the firm). My goal here is simple – give you one thing each week to make your life “richer.” Enjoy!
a tragic reminder…
Normally I’d start this message off with “Happy Sunday!”, but not today.

Today we are once again reminded of the lack of control we have over our lives in the universe.

As I’m sure you know, there was an assassination attempt at the rally of Donald Trump yesterday.

And, during that incident, a person attending the event was killed.

His name was Corey Comperatore.

He was 50 years old.

He was a husband.

He was a father.

And, when he woke up yesterday he had no idea it was going to be the last day of his life.

And the same is true for all of us.

And that is why estate planning is so important.

I don’t know if Corey had an estate plan. I don’t know if he had life insurance. I don’t know if he’d planned for these things.

But I hope he did.

It’s the reason I started this business.

It’s the reason I chose estate planning as an area of focus.

I wanted to be a part of helping people protect what matters most to them – their families – when they aren’t able to.

This is not some email to get you to take action.

You are in charge of making good choices.

But it is meant to be a wake up call to get your house in order.

Waiting won’t help.

Hoping won’t help.

If you want to protect yourself and your family you’ve got to be proactive.

Now, take 10 minutes and go hug and kiss all of the people that mean the most to you, and if you can’t physically do that, send them a text or give them a call.

Every thought expressed matters.

Cheers.
