Happy Sunday!

I wrote this post on the 4th but didn’t want to bug you on holiday.

So, here’s my letter to the USA.

The 4th of July this year was filled with funny/crass/witty t-shirts making fun of one, or all, of the political figures involved in politics right now.

But let’s not forget the 4th of July is a celebration of something pretty cool.

I’ve opened three businesses, had 3 kids, been married and divorced and then married again, welcomed two new awesome kids into my life, said things people like and don’t like, moved from state to state, gone to church, not gone to church, left the country, and a whole bunch of other amazing things.

Know how many times I had to ask the government to do any of those things?

None times.

This country is not perfect, but it is the best country in the history of the world.

And today marks its beginning.

I love being an American.

I’m proud to be an American.

And today I’m going to celebrate with my kids and my wife, a pool, some hotdogs and beers, family, and a lot of red, white and blue.

Happy 4th of July.
