We created this estate plan for a single man in his late fifties, with three adult children. He wanted to provide for his children and leave specific instructions on how his collections and personal property should be distributed evenly between the three children. He travels a lot so he wanted his children to be aware of his wishes in case something was to happen to him while he was abroad.
We prepared a simple Will plan for him. The Will plan contained a:
- Healthcare Power of Attorney;
- Financial Power of Attorney; and
- Healthcare Directive.
The Power of Attorney documents provide the client with designations for individuals to take care of him if he ever becomes incapacitated.
We prepared the Health Care Directive for end of life decisions and to take the mystery out of what the client would want to happen to him if he is in a permanent vegetative state.
